THE TRIFECTA

Video Transcript

Hey, this is Joe with Easy Trim and Harvesting and Consulting, and I want to quickly share with you how Easy Trim can help increase your profitability when harvesting. The key to a successful and profitable harvest is to reduce the amount of touch-up required prior to packaging. Regardless of the trimming equipment you're currently using or the size of your harvest, if you must touch up 70% to 80% of the buds prior to packaging, you are not harvesting as efficiently as you could be. Easy Trim is a Colorado-based company that for the last 12 years has developed harvesting equipment and systems that reduce the touch-up process from 70% to 80% down to 30% to 50%. Whether you prefer to trim wet or dry, have a large staff or small, our products and services can be tailored to complement your unique situation and current resources. When you factor all the steps of the harvesting process, including defanning, cutting, weighing, drying, bucking, trimming, touching up, curing, and packaging, reducing the handling through this process is what increases profitability. Ask yourself, if there was a company that provided equipment and systems that cost less, produce better bud quality, offered on-site consulting, was built by growers, and had a money-back guarantee, would you have anything to lose? Visit easytrim.com today to learn more.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION & SPECIFICATIONS

The Trifecta System is designed to reduce bottlenecks throughout bucking, trimming, and sorting, with each machine supporting the next step in the harvesting workflow.

Save half your harvesting time, using half the staff while maintaining the quality of your product.

We designed our equipment to solve a bottleneck in the cannabis and hemp harvesting workflow. Your team might be experiencing slowdowns in any of the main steps of harvesting and trimming. Our Trifecta System eliminates bottlenecks; each machine works harmoniously with the others.

Frequently asked questions

1. What is the EZ Trim Trifecta System?

The EZ Trim Trifecta combines three commercial cannabis harvesting machines into one integrated system: the Bud Bucker, Satellite Bud Trimmer, and Bud Sorter.

Each machine addresses a different stage of post-harvest processing. The Bud Bucker removes flower from stems, the Satellite trims the flower, and the Bud Sorter separates finished flower by size while also supporting quality-control and touch-up workflows.

Together, the system is designed to reduce bottlenecks between these processing steps rather than optimizing only one part of the harvest.

2. What order are the Trifecta machines used in?

A typical dry-processing workflow is:

Bud Bucker → Satellite Bud Trimmer → Bud Sorter → Touch-Up/Quality Control → Packaging or Curing

The exact workflow can vary depending on whether the operation trims wet or dry and how flower is dried, equalized, cured, and packaged.

Proper preparation between steps is important. For example, moisture consistency and flower preparation before trimming can have a major effect on Satellite performance and the amount of hand touch-up required afterward.

For the complete process, see the EZ Trim Harvest Playbook.

3. Why use an integrated harvesting system instead of individual machines?

Improving one processing step doesn't necessarily eliminate the overall harvest bottleneck. Increasing trimming speed, for example, has limited value if bucking cannot supply flower fast enough or if sorting and quality control become the next labor bottleneck.

The Trifecta is designed around the complete workflow. Bucking prepares flower for trimming, trimming prepares it for sorting, and sorting separates the finished flower before final quality control, curing, or packaging.

The objective is to improve total harvest efficiency, not simply the speed of one machine.

4. Can the Trifecta be used for both wet and dry cannabis processing?

Yes. The Trifecta can support both wet and dry processing workflows.

The Bud Bucker and Satellite can process wet or dry material, while the Bud Sorter can be incorporated at the appropriate point based on the operation's workflow and desired flower classifications.

For dry trimming, achieving consistent dryness before the Satellite is particularly important. Uneven moisture between small and large buds can produce inconsistent trimming results and increase hand touch-up.

5. How can the Trifecta reduce harvest labor?

The Trifecta targets several labor-intensive steps instead of addressing trimming alone: bucking, trimming, sorting, and the amount of hand touch-up required afterward.

EZ Trim customers have reported significant labor and processing improvements in their own operations. Super Farm reports cutting harvest time and labor approximately in half, while King City Gardens reports saving about 100 trimming labor hours per week. Monte Fiore reports that its integrated EZ Trim workflow reduced a labor-intensive harvesting process to roughly one-quarter of its previous time.

These are individual customer-reported results and are not guarantees of results for other operations.

6. Does faster processing mean sacrificing flower quality?

It shouldn't. The objective of the Trifecta system is to reduce unnecessary labor and handling while maintaining finished-flower quality.

Flower condition and preparation remain important. Dryness consistency, stem preparation, strain characteristics, Satellite settings, batch time, and the amount of touch-up performed afterward can all influence the finished product.

EZ Trim customers including Super Farm and King City Gardens report achieving a natural or hand-trim-like appearance while reducing processing labor.

7. What size cannabis operation is the Trifecta designed for?

The Trifecta is intended for commercial operations where bucking, trimming, sorting, or quality control are creating meaningful harvest bottlenecks.

The best way to determine whether the complete system makes economic sense is to evaluate your own harvest volume, current staffing, labor cost, processing time, and existing cost per pound rather than relying on a single production threshold.

Use the EZ Trim Harvest Calculator to compare the potential economics with your current process.

8. Can I purchase the Bud Bucker, Satellite, and Bud Sorter separately?

Yes. The Bud Bucker, Satellite Bud Trimmer, and Bud Sorter are available individually, allowing an operation to address a specific bottleneck first or build its harvesting system over time.

The Trifecta combines all three for operations that want to address bucking, trimming, and sorting as an integrated workflow.
