Hey, this is Josh Hoff coming at you with 3Light at the Super Farm facility here in Denver, Colorado. Hanging out with a good friend here with the Easy Trim company. They are kicking butt and taking names, and we're here to tell you a little bit about that. We've been in the industry for a long time, you and I both, definitely a couple pioneers. Nonetheless, it's been a heck of a road getting here. I think the one thing that we should all stay is humble and continuing to move forward when it comes to discovering new processes, new ways to achieve things, and that's how we ran into Easy Trim. We ended up giving it a shot, trying the satellite, and the product just came out looking so good that we wanted to implement it across all of our facilities. When it comes to, most importantly, our finished product, we've been able to achieve just a higher quality, especially ever since your products have came along. We've got product that's kind of tough to keep on the shelves, which is a great problem, especially in a flooded market here in Colorado. This facility, we've got about 16 bedrooms here. Yeah. About 24 flower rooms. Here in our nursery room, we have our clones, our four-inch cubes, as well as our seven gallons. These girls are getting ready to go to war. Looking good, though. Yeah. So these girls are getting ready to flip. Yeah. We'll be getting schwazed tomorrow, and then we'll fast-forward in your mind two days to the room we're about to go into. Here we are now, and these girls are all stripped down, schwazed up, looking good. The next room we're going to go to, you're going to fast-forward 19 days in your mind, and they're going to be on day 20. We're rocking. This room right here, they got a schwaz going on. All these leaves got to come off. It's a full project, that's for sure. The next room we're going to go to, you're going to fast-forward three days in your mind, and this is what they're going to look like. So in this room, we got way less leaves than we had in the prior room because they all got schwazed up. At this point, they don't really want to be bothered. They've all been netted, supported, and now it's time to start stacking. So the next room we're going to go into is going to be a fast-forward of 40 days in your mind, and these girls are done. We're going to a harvest room. Let's go check it out. Most important part about this room is when these big, gorgeous flowers do come down, that they're trimmed properly. It's got to look like the top-shelf product that it is, and that's where our products come into play. Call it what it is, but you guys are people-people. You have the skills. You understand how it is to communicate, how it is to be a decent person. And unfortunately, in the cannabis industry, that is few and far between, which is why I feel extra inclined to want to tell people about you guys, because the products are legit, and the most important part about it is revenue will cross a bridge, but more importantly, the relationship follows it. And you guys have the ability to follow up. You guys do answer your phones. You guys are consistent. You guys do provide help, especially when we're stuck in a pinch and I need an extra machine. You're always answering the call. You're always coming down, and for us, that carries its weight in gold. That means a lot to us, especially at a facility where we're harvesting 100 to 150 pounds every other day. I do not have time for something to fall behind. Absolutely not. I need your help. I need you to show up. I need you to answer that call, and you guys have been able to do that for us, and obviously that's why we're working together. That's why we're doing this now. Okay, so my name is Tasha Salinas. I work for Heartland Industries. Um, every week they do a harvest of, of a bay of roughly estimated maybe 600 plants. So we harvest every week. So you harvest every week? Mm-Hmm. What was some of the other equipment you've used in the past? Um, t fours, Mobius and, um, cream pearls. The smell of the product that we get from the easy trim is 10 times better than the smell from the product that we get from the Mobius. Um, it doesn't damage the trichomes as far as what I smell and how the product comes up. How, um, ferrous it's at this point, Do you think this is faster or as fast as the Mobius? I think this is faster than the Mobius. How much faster would you say this? About 45 seconds. Mobius Moia takes how long? Half a day. Really? Like, throughout maybe like 30 minutes. Like sometimes. Depends on the weed too. Depends on like the density of the weed. Depends on how it's, depends on how it's, so would you say this is twice as fast? Three times as fast? Yes. Twice. Three times as fast. Three times as, three times as fast from you get more atrium and more ke outta it to be honest. More atrium, more ke more the weed looks better. You get any better Consistency with the weeded? I think better. Consistency. You said it's easier to clean than the mud? Yes. Oh yes. Yeah. Yeah. It's easier to take apart, less time to clean it. It'll take as long take it apart. It doesn't take as long to clean it out. Come to figure out. You really have to cram the Mobius full fast to not have it eat or eat out it and you don't have to at the time. And then what about Touchup? How is there any difference in steam? Um, touchup is probably 20 to 25% less from what we were doing before because there's less material in there When what? That's Abuse. That's such a six crow's feet leaves. So I'll tell you when a minute. Still have to wait a minute. She Knows what she's doing And We're about at minute right now. Why do you think that they went with all these other machines first? Uh, flashiness and it's, it's, it's been an expensive, yeah, expensive endeavor to say the least. Yeah. Yeah. I think. What about smalls like popcorn? Does it save more of 'em than Yes. The Mobius? Yes. Yeah. Yeah. Where with the other machines it was getting sucked right outta the machine and into the B trim and not into the atrium. Um, I don't have nowhere near as much, um, bud material in my trim. So you're saving a whole lot of bud material? Not in your trim. Hardly any stem that needs to be cut, it's, to be honest about it, um, it's, it's already gonna save us and not having to repurchase, you know, the non, non cleanable bags. Um, the tumblers, how often do you have to replace the tumblers? They're meant to break. They're not meant for long term use. Um, it's all fine and dandy, but it the product that you guys produce outta the easy trim, nicer all the way around. 'cause I already like it more.

I'm Daryl with Montefiori Farms, and we have a system in place where we use your de-budder, your satellite trimmer, and your table that sorts the buds into different sizes. So as you can see, the plants behind me, they are growing. We harvest these, bring them into our dry room. We hang them where they sit for several days to dry out, and then we come in and have a group of people cutting stems and branches off of the plants so that we can run them through your de-budder, your satellite trimmer, and then we sort everything out into different sizes and put them in bags and get ready to get them out the door. We do use your de-budder, your satellite trimmer, and your sorter, and we do use all three. You have to have all three to really get a good room going and to shorten the work time that you're doing. It's a beautiful system. It takes the process of hand trimming and cuts it way down. I have used the twister, and it's a big machine. It's loud. It takes up a lot of space. The de-budder, the trimmer, the satellite, the table, they take up less space, they're not loud at all, and they work super great. You've built really superior equipment that's easy to use. Anybody can come in and use them with a few minutes of training, and you guys have been great. If we've needed anything, you've been right there. Your machine takes that labor-intensive process and cuts it down to a quarter of the time, which is pretty amazing.

Happy Friday everyone. I'm Johnny out here at Green Fingers Farms. We perpetually harvest 52 feet a year. We're mixed light out in our facility. People told us we couldn't do that. They said you cannot harvest every week. Outdoor. We said, yes we can. We knew there would be problems. We knew there would be issues. We knew that there would be times when we couldn't get it done, but we weren't counting on was the price of cannabis going down in 2020 where it went And we found ourselves really needing to find a way to save money. So I came across this little company called Easy Trim, not little anymore, and they said they had a solution for my problems. 'cause when you harvest 52 weeks a year, you buck 52 weeks a year. You trim 52 weeks a year. You hang, you dry, you package, you sell 52 weeks a year. We had to figure out a way when the market was so low to continue to stay in business and be able to do this constantly. Other outdoor mixed light growers, they harvest two, three, maybe four times a year. We hammer it out 52 weeks a year. So we had to look at our costs and try to figure out where we could save money and where we were spending our money. When you trim 52 weeks a year, it's a lot of money. At the end of the day. We had to figure out a way to cut our costs. So what we did is we purchased a machine, a trimming machine, um, a satellite trimmer from Easy Trim and tried it out. And what we do is, it's not necessarily a bladeless trimmer, but you can lower the blade so that it just tumbles the marijuana. And then we have people finish it by hand. By doing that, I cut my trimming costs in half at a facility like this that's going from 60 to $30,000 a month in trimming. So Easy Trim gave us the opportunity to do that. We also said we are spending a lot of money bucking our, our, our cannabis. How do we cut prices on that easy trim buck? We have a bevy of employees that sort and pick through. We use their sorter. My name is Paul Whitehouse. I'm one of the facility managers here at Super Farm LLC here in Denver, Colorado. We are a recreational supplier of cannabis, and we are one of the highest yielding per square foot facilities in the country, and we're very proud of that here. So our facility here in Denver, this particular facility in itself, harvests between 180 to 120 pounds every three days, year-round. We're very proud of the amount that we're able to put out, and very proud of the quality that we're able to put out at the same time, which I feel is unmatched. So during the time that we've been operating this facility, we've tried out different machines, both wet trimming and dry trimming. We've tried the Twisters, we've tried Centurions, we've tried the Green Bros. And in both sides, they do too much damage to the flower to where you're not able to put out the product that is a true representation of what it looks like when it's growing. Because the amount of damage that's done to the plant and the amount of waste that comes off of it, you're losing money by losing flower weight. And then one of the best things about the Satellite is it does such a good job taking off the dry trim that it doesn't even affect the physical shape of the bud. It doesn't round it off. The Satellite is by far and away, the best dry trim machine we've ever used. It puts out a product that is cleaner, with less waste, less damage to your product, so that you can put out a finished product that is a true representation of what the plant looked like growing. And you can be proud of the product that you're putting out because you're not just shaving off the edges, cutting the corners, and damaging the trichomes on it. You leave the bud intact so that if a strain has a characteristic, it holds that characteristic, which is something that I feel the Satellite does that no other trim machine can do, is leave the true shape, size, and characteristic of the bud intact without damaging it and just rounding it off into a round bud that looks like any other bud. With the Easy Trim here, it does such a good job taking off a leaf that it almost looks like it's hand trimmed. It almost looks better than hand trimmed. It does such a good job that our quality control side of it, it comes out of the machine pretty much ready for sale. And there's no other machine that comes even close that we have to spend hours and hours of man hour, time, money, quality controlling this product before it goes to sale. With the Satellite, it takes it down to a level where our ability to speed up and bag our product and get it on store shelves is faster than it is with anything else. They also brought other products they had, like the Debudder, that you can take off an entire stem worth of buds in five seconds versus what a person can do in 30 seconds, which doesn't sound like a lot until you look at a scale of a room with 88 plants and you're harvesting 80 to 120 pounds every three days. One of the great parts about using the Satellite is it collects all of your trim in these different micron filtration bags at the bottom of it, so you get your fan leaves separated from your sweet leaf all the way down to where it comes out with your keif product already separated. It's not a separate process that you have to do to your trim. When you are done using the machine, it already comes out with this ready to go, and you can use it to sell to extraction companies. As a wholesaler, being able to use every part of the plant is important, and it makes it easy to be able to have different levels of quality. And so when people buy it, they pay for what they're getting, and they know what they're getting because it is broken into each level and it does it for you. It's just part of running the machine. And when you end that, you have your finished product separated for you, which no other machine does. The Easy Trim will literally cut your harvest time in half and cut the amount of labor that you have to put into it in half. My name is uh, Jake Gary and I'm the owner of Drops of Life CBD in Fresh Grown Texas. We also have medical marijuana groups in New Mexico that actually do hemp and medical cannabis and they have been using one of the easy trimmers for the last two years. We harvest easily over 40,000 tons in New Mexico every year. And if we did not have something like this, there's no way that we would be able to trim our flour. And that's the thing is that when we harvest, it has to be in the dispensaries quick. Once it's cured and ready to go, we already have a demand for it before it even hits a shelf. This will change the game if you harvest that much and you cannot hand trim 4,000 pounds a week unless you have 4,000 employees. You know what I mean? So the big thing about that is this will double what you're able to produce and it also gives you more time to focus on other areas. 'cause once you harvest and you have that much quantity, curing and you know, taking care of the flour is probably the most time consuming unless you have an accurate machine. Now all machines are not created equal. What I like about the easy trim is all the science that went behind the building of it and the basically the layout of it. So when we produce, it's gonna get a wide variety of flour. It gets everything from our small popcorn all the way to our top big nugs that people like. And it makes it very easy for our team. Instead of having 20 people trimming constantly around the hour, I could have five people running this machine getting 10 to 20 times more than what we would do with 20 people trying to hand trim. So if you're in this industry, you're doing volume, I would recommend going with the easy trim. It's gonna save you time, it's gonna save you money and it's gonna give you that extra time to make more money and put your knowledge and where you need to spend the rest of your time and energy. Uh, I have a medical marijuana background in New Mexico for the last 13 years. My group is out there, but I wanted to focus on the CBD and hemp side because of the healing properties. I had a nephew that was having about 60 seizures a day eight years ago, and we introduced him to CBD about seven years ago. And he does not have seizures anymore. He was able to get a driver's license, he played football for his high school team and he lives a normal life. And we feel that the plant could help so many people. And what we're trying to do is show the transparency of being from seed to sell, being all organic. And the advantages of having that drops of life is a CBD brand. It's a lifestyle brand. So if you get on my website, it's gonna be something that your mom would get on and not be intimidated buying a tincture. 'cause I don't have any cannabis plants. My CBD brand does not have THC, it's Isolate, it's a CBD isolate, THC, free. It's for the people that doctors, teachers, people that want to try CB, D, but they'll fill a drug test if they take a full spectrum. So what we wanna do is open the spectrum for people and then we put a lot of effort into our flower because all the products that we make is from the flower that we grow. Hi, I'm Steve Walzer, and we're all on Buddy Boy Farm, which is part of our larger organic farm, Willowwind Organic Farms. We're sitting just outside of Ford, Washington, right along the side of the Spokane River, where my farm lies right up above the river in a little micro climate here. My wife and I have been organic farmers for 40 years, and we got to be quite a large organic farmer. At one point, we were doing pretty close to 7,000 acres under irrigation. DJ approached us when the initiative passed and asked if we'd be interested in growing with him, and I thought it was a good idea. Thought about it a few days and said, "Sure, let's do this." So we started indoor, did several thousand square feet indoor, and then as the season came around, we put in our full canopy outdoors, and this is our second growth cycle that you're seeing now, along with all the drying technology and the trimming and the use of your machines. And harvest was something that I thought a lot about, and being a farmer, I realize that you've got very limited amount of time during the proper season to harvest what is a lot of weight here. Between all the leaf and all that, there's probably seven, eight, nine tons of material or more here that we're taking in through the building. I, right from the beginning, liked the way the Easy Trim machine was gentle on the product, caught the keif afterwards, and wasn't so noisy. Most of them are so darn loud that you can't think around them. So we liked that aspect of it, and we liked the quality that came out the other end. And we have looked at different trimming methods, and so we've done some dry trimming. We've used the Easy Trim for dry trimming. In fact, we started out, we bought a specialized dry trim machine, but after we saw the way it worked, we thought, "Well, why wouldn't the Easy Trim work?" And we talked to you guys, we were able to get a grate that seemed to improve the process, and we found the Easy Trim worked as well as or better than anything else, really, for dry trimming. Well, there's certain varieties where the buds tend to be dry, and God's Gift is one, and there's a few others where they're not a sticky bud. The keif that does come out, your machine with its four different mesh bags will sort the leaf that gets cut off from the keif to where we get down to those bottom two bags and we've got some pretty nice keif, particularly the bottom bag. We're saving over a pound of keif a day when we're in harvest of those varieties where it works. And the keif alone pays for all the labor of the trimming, so it's kind of a nice deal. And yours is the only machine that does that, that we know of. So we really like it for that. It pays its way.

Colorado. So here at Denk, we've actually been using the satellite for over
four years now. Initially, they did do hand trimming here until they found
out that it was going to cost nearly $250 per pound to harvest with a crew of
people that would come in. There was all sorts of problems that we had with
the trim crews, inconsistencies, drama, all sorts of stuff. We ended up
dropping our cost down to $50 per pound per harvest with the satellite, and
we've never turned back. Here at Denk, the way we harvest is we'll grab the
plant out of the flower room, bring it over to our trim stations. The first
thing that's done is we weigh it up, the plant in its entirety. That's pot,
soil, water, stakes, tags. Everything that's on the plant gets weighed up at
one time. The next step is what we call defanning. And while we defan, we
actually get rid of all the biggest leaves. We take those off initially. This
is done pretty quickly by the guy who actually weighs the plant up. It'll
take the plant down from the big marijuana plant that you're used to seeing
into long stalks. We put the stalks into a container that is then moved down
to the next station, which we call the deboning station. And actually, in the
deboning station, we take the bud that is on the stalk and cut it off the
stalk to create the bud that'll be passed down to the weigh station, where
that'll be weighed up. And we put the bud in the machine for about 90 seconds
to two and a half minutes, depending on the strain. I'll keep an eye on the
bud bouncing around to make sure that I didn't put too much in, too little
in. And then basically after about a minute and a half to two minutes, I'll
pick up the slide. The pot will come out, and we'll reload it. And then
basically, we put that onto a tray for curing process, and we just continue
that cycle. The most important thing as the trim supervisor is to make sure
that the bud that's coming out of the machine does not look like it's been
through a machine. We have plenty of people telling us that the hand trim bud
looks great here, and obviously we have to smirk inside knowing that we

We have an indoor grow, which is called Tweed in Smith Falls, and it's in the former Hershey factory. And so as soon as you mix chocolate and marijuana on this scale, there's interest. And so people came up with terrific lines. I think the best was, "I now know why the Oompa-Loompas were so happy." And so really, that was our beginning and what allowed us to get footing. And then we just kept evolving the story by becoming the first publicly traded, federally approved marijuana company in North America. And so the reason we brought Easy Trim up is that platform is 340,000 square feet. So as you can imagine, 340,000 square feet, it's not hard to picture, at any one point in time, 100,000-plus plants in production. My name is Mike Suarez, and I am an agricultural harvest engineer here at Strainwise. Strainwise is one of the largest dispensaries here in Colorado. We have nine dispensaries just here in Denver alone. Today, we're harvesting 1,500 plants, and we're using satellites from Easy Trim. So plants start here in this room. Then they get transported from here to where our staging area is. From the staging area, the weight guys will actually grab them, weigh them, cut them, record the information, enter it in the computer. Then they go to the tables, and then they get de-fanned. As soon as they get de-fanned, they get handed over to the trimmers. The trimmers actually cut it all off the stem. At that point, put it into buckets. Everything is labeled and then taken over to the satellite machines. Since we've been using satellites, our productivity has doubled, if not tripled. With the 30-man crew, eight-hour day, we can get through about 500 plants, which equals about 110 pounds. If we were to do that hand trimming, that would probably round out to be about 45 to 65 pounds. When you hand trim, you have to have a hand trimmer that knows what they're doing. If you don't have experienced hand trimmers, the bud could come out uneven. It could be cut down. We could be wasting a lot. And with the satellites, we don't have to worry about that. We don't have to worry about as far as in-depth training with the crew, and that saves us on money and time. I think that anybody that's taking down more than their six or 12 plants definitely need to get a satellite because it will help in so many different ways. And on top of that, if you're trying to get the most out of your crop, then you definitely need a satellite. Satellites have helped us so much.

The key to a quality trim is proper prep, friction control, and consistent dryness. Proper preparation means defoliating and removing all the fan leaves that have exposed stem, individualizing all the buds, and ensuring that there's no more than a quarter inch of stem at the base of the bud. Consistent dryness means consistent trimming. To get a consistent dry on small buds and large buds. We recommend bucking or removing the buds from the stem a day or so early. And while there's still a small amount of moisture left in the stem and flour, buck the buds into toes and burp frequently in order that the buds homogenize and equalize. In dryness, we offer the easy cure as an automatic curing, burping, and drying solution, the ECU allows you to buck straight into totes that will automatically dry based on humidity parameters or burp based on program schedules. The easy cure can be controlled from your phone and sends real-time data no matter where you are, regardless of if you use the easy cure or your own totes. It's crucial to currere the buds in preparation for trimming. Otherwise dryness will not be consistent and neither will trimming bleeding to more touch up and longer trim times for, we recommend checking for dryness by using your fingers and disturbing the leaves on the bud if they snap and do not bend. When disturbed, the leaf is dry enough. You can also rub two buds together to stimulate the friction that will be created in the machine. If the leaf doesn't come off when doing this, it will not come off in the machine. If you're touching up more than 50% of your flowers after trimming in the machine, then prep and or drying needs to be improved. HOW TO ASSEMBLE

Hey,
this is Joe with Easy Trim and this is the satellite Bud Trimmer assembly
video. I wanna start by inspecting the pallet and the box and the pallet for
any damage if there's any damage indicated on the bill of lading and refuse
the shipment. Otherwise, you can begin unwrapping the plastic and cutting the
banding. Remove all the components from the cardboard box and we'll start by
unwrapping the chute, which contains some of the components inside, including
a maintenance kit with felt pads for the cutting blade, Allen, keys for
disassembling the unit, our contact information, and an extra fuse for the
control box if needed. Inside the chute is also the filtration bags and the
drum knobs. Once you have that unwrapped, set those components aside and remove
the main drum from the box and set it aside. Next, remove the stand and set
it aside. And within the drum are a few more items. It's promotional
material, the shoot sock quality control checklist. Once all the items have
been removed from the drum lock the casters on the stand and rotate the
stand. Resting the stand on the drum side mounts as seen here. Insert the
drum knobs into the drum side mount and give them a few turns. Be sure to
leave them loose a few turns, disengage the plunge pins. Walk the unit
upright as seen Here. Unlock the casters, tighten the drum knobs, and
reengage the plunge pins. At this point, you can also unwrap the plastic from
the top and the bottom side of the lid assembly. Next, plug in the jumper
cable from the main motor to the control box. Give the power cord to a power
source so that we can dial in the cutting blade. We're gonna do this with the
unit turned on, so switch the main motor on and using the late height
adjustment knobs, the underside of the drum. We're going to turn them a
couple of turns in the front and a couple of turns in the back, back until
the blade makes slight contact with the underside of the grate. Once you hear
that nicking sound of the blade making contact with the grate, go ahead and
back that adjustment knob down a quarter to a full turn until there's no more
contact being made. You want to do this several times front to back so that
the blade is not cockeyed, raising it up until it makes slight contact and
backing it down. Open and close the inner lids to ensure that the blade does
not make contact with them. Either open or closed. Turn the unit off and
inspect the height of the blade. The blade should be sitting within a 16th to
an eighth inch of the underside of the grate. Once you have the blade height
adjusted, we'll rotate the drum upside down and attach the filtration bags.
The filtration bags are numbered one through four. We'll start with the first
one. The one thing you want to keep in mind when attaching the filtration
bags is that we like to stair step the filter bags so that they're layered
one below the next, starting with the first bag down to the fourth. Once you
have all the bags on the bottom of the drum, attach the Velcro strap. Now
we'll install the shoot the chute slides into the channels on the front of
the drum. To install the shoot sock, open the shoot gate and sleeve the shoot
sock around the underside of the chute and tighten the drawstring. Place a
tote under the shoot sock. And now the unit is ready to trim. Please watch

You can also rub two buds together to simulate the friction that will be created in the machine. If the leaf doesn't come off when doing this, it will not come off in the machine. If defoliation wasn't done properly, you'll end up with stems like this at the base of your bud that still has moisture in it and will not break when disturbed, thus leaving you with stems that need to be touched up after trimming. The first thing we want to do is dial in the cutting blade, turn the main motor on, and using the blade height adjustment knobs, we'll raise the cutting blade until it makes slight contact with the underside of the green. Turn the knobs a couple of turns in the front, And then a couple of turns from the back. Repeat this process, contacting the grate and then backing the knobs down a quarter to a full turn several times to ensure that the blade is not cockeyed and that it is as close to the underside of the grate as possible. The reason we dial in the cutting blade, even though dry trimming is done through friction is because we want to ensure that any stem hook, crow's foot or leaf that can be cut will be cut. Next, we'll attach the filtration collection bags to the drum. There are four collection bags with bearing micron levels and each bag has a number tag. Rotate the drum upside down and install the bags with hem on the outside so that the buildup doesn't occur. Starting with the first bag, stretch the elastic around the outside of the drum and above the link. Lock latches. Follow the same process with all four bags. We recommend that you layer and stair step the bags as seen here, and then fasten the Velcro strap. And now we'll install the chute to the front of the drum. Align the chute tabs with the rails and slide the chute in place. To install the chute sock open the CH gate sleeve, the chute sock around the bottom of the chute and tighten the draw string. Place a tote or easy cure under the chute sock. And now we're set up for trimming. The satellite trimmer has a fan blade directly below the cutting blade. The suction and airflow created by the fan blade is controlled using the airflow controller and by the two inter lids on top of the machine. Adjusting the airflow properly is key to achieving an efficient trim cycle and eliminating potential damage. The two inter lids can be opened or closed to increase or decrease airflow. In suction with one or both inter lids open, the suction will increase and the airflow will decrease. This allows you to create stronger airflow for the movement of wet or heavier product or less airflow and more suction for slowing down the movement of dry or delicate product. The airflow controller is used to prop open the backender lid, allowing you to fine tune the amount of airflow and suction. The airflow is considered properly adjusted when it predominantly moves the product around the grate while still allowing the silicone fingers to separate and roll the product properly. Adjusting the airflow and suction eliminates excessive handling and friction. The rotating soft silicone fingers are used to help separate and roll the product along the grade. Both the direction and speed can be controlled. Slowing down the fingers will minimize agitation on delicate product while running the fingers on the higher speeds, or in reverse, which is the opposite direction of the airflow can create more agitation and quicker trim cycles. The goal is to adjust the fingers and the airflow so that the product is being moved by the air, then rolled and separated by the fingers. Wet buds and specific dry strains require more agitation than others and thus require the fingers to be run at higher speeds. Typically, we recommend that you run the fingers in the forward direction and at slightly higher speeds. Again, this is something you will want to adjust based on whether you're trimming wet or dry product as well as for different strains and densities. Properly adjusting the rotation and separation will reduce the batch time. Controlling the amount of time the buds are in the trimmer is imperative to producing quality results with other trimmers. You put the product in one end and then you don't really know how well it has been trimmed until it comes out the other end. Satellite trimmer allows you to watch the product as it is being trimmed and adjust cycle times based on what you see during each batch. Every strain and batch are different, so it's important to adjust accordingly. Proper batch time control ensures that the buds do not get over or under trimmed. Now that we understand how the trimmer works, it's time to start trimming. To start trimming, turn on the main motor, then set the rotor fingers to forward and adjust the speed to high or your preferred setting. Using a container that holds roughly a pound of product, dump the entire batch into the machine all at once. Do not feed the machine one handful at a time. 'cause by the time you're done feeding the last handful in the first handful, ISS already trimmed. The amount of product should fill up the chute when trimming is complete. Again, changing the speed and or direction of the fingers will affect the amount of agitation to the product. Different strains require different amounts of agitation. Find a setting that works best for each strain. Use the airflow controller and lids to adjust the amount of suction and vortex inside the drum. With popcorn buds or lighter strains, you may need to run the entire cycle with one or both inner lids. Open with dent or heavier strains. You may need to run the entire cycle with both inner lids closed. Find the amount of airflow that works best for each strain. Allow the product to trim for 30 to 60 seconds depending on the The product is done trimming. Tilt the drum down, open the drum gate, turn the rotor motor to forward and allow the product to exit into the chute. Opening and closing the back. Inner lids will also speed up this process. When the drum is empty, close the drum gate, tilt the drum upright and reload the machine. The product isn't trimmed in under a minute. When dry trimming, the product is too wet. Be sure to empty the filtration bags periodically to empty the bags, carefully pull them off, set them into an appropriate container and empty the product. Remove any remaining trim or keep by rubbing the bags together or optionally using a brush is seen here. If the bags are not cleaned or are overfilled product will start to blow back up through the drum and or Keef will start seeping out of the last bag and dusting the ground with Keef. To periodically clean the bags during trimming, we recommend using a wet dry vacuum as seen here. It's a very efficient and quick way to clean. Sure. HOW TO CLEAN

Hey, this is Joe with Easy Trim and this is the satellite Bud Trimmer cleaning video for intermittent cleanings. We recommend using an air compressor to blow the unit out or a wet dry vacuum and simply wiping down the unit with alcohol. The following video is for deep cleanings. After the harvest, we'll start by identifying the cleaning solutions we like to use. We prefer denatured alcohol or isopropyl alcohol, the HD heavy duty purple, simple green, a pressurized sprayer, a spray bottle, and some paper towels. The next step is to disassemble the unit. We will remove the chute sock and slide the chute off the front of the drum. Next, we'll remove the filtration bags. I like to put a little pan underneath there to capture anything and to make it a little bit easier. A quick side note, when cleaning the filter bags in between trimming and prior to doing a deep cleaning, we recommend using a wet dry vacuum as seen here. It works really, really well and is something you know we recommend you do often in the trim room. Once we have the filter bags removed, we will rotate the rotor assembly until the Kotter pin is facing the front disengage. The two front draw latches and the two side draw latches. Rotate the lid 90 degrees upright. We will remove the Kotter pin from the rotor assembly and slide the rotor assembly off the motor shaft. Rotate the lid back down. Disconnect the jumper cable between the control box and the main motor. Loosen the two thumb screws on either side of the control box and remove the control box. To clean the control box, we will just take a paper towel and some alcohol and just give it a quick wipe. Reinstall the two thumb screws so that they don't get lost. Disengage the two back latches and remove the lid assembly. Next, we will remove the drum gate by pressing in the center of the drum gate to and giving it a good tap to get it past the drum. Disengage the two plunge pins and loosen the drum knob several turns and rotate the drum 180 degrees upside down. Tighten the drum knobs and now we will remove the motor assembly by disengaging the link lock latches, also called butterfly latches. Once the four latches are removed, pull the drum assembly out. Now we will remove the cutting blade by loosening the three screws atop the cutting blade. Also, remove the cutting blade hub. There are two set screws. Loosen the two set screws and slide the hub off. We will also remove the fan blade by removing the three fan blade screws and sliding it off the fan blade hub. We will leave the fan blade hub attached to the motor shaft. Next, remove the motor cover and loosen the adjustment bracket knobs. We prefer to use a hot seat, but any pressure washer will do. Spray all of the components with the heavy duty simple green and allow it to soak for several minutes. Using a fairly strong pressure washing tip, we will rinse the cutting blade and the rotor assembly. Rinse the fan blade. The more thorough you clean, the easier it is to do. Next time max spray the motor assembly, the drum gate, I spray the lid assembly top and bottom. Sure not to use any cleaning solution other than heavy-duty. Simple green or isopropyl or denatured alcohol on the lid assembly as it can. Fog up the polycarbonate thoroughly clean the drum and stand of the unit. Next, drape the filter bags around the outside of the drum. Spray them with the purple, simple green and rinse with the pressure washer. Repeat this process for all four bags. Occasionally it is necessary to flip the bags inside out and spray both sides, but often it's good enough to just spray the one side. Once the filter bags are clean, hang them up to dry. Using A compressor and an air nozzle, blow out the motor assembly and try to get that as dry as possible as well as the motor cover. At this time, we'll also remove the junction box lid and using a paper towel, ensure that there's no moisture accumulated inside the junction box. Replace the lid. Be sure not to overtighten these four screws. Reinstall the motor cover. Using the Velcro, it's really important to keep the motor cover clean so that the motor functions properly and doesn't overheat. I also like to lubricate the bolts and the adjustment brackets on the motor assembly so that adjusting the blade height is a lot easier. Adjust the adjustment brackets so that the bolts are flush with the top of the adjustment brackets. Be sure that the fan blade hubs set screws are tight before reinstalling the fan blade. I also like to lubricate the two set screws and the hub for the cutting blade as it makes removal a lot easier. The next time. There are two dimples on the motor shaft that align with the set screws on the cutting blade hub. Ensure to align those properly. Go ahead and tighten the set screws, ensuring that the set screws are seated within the dimples and that the motor shaft sits flush with the top of the cutting blade hub. It's important that the shaft does not sit above the cutting blade hub. Next, we'll take the cutting blade and install a felt pad spacer on the top of the cutting blade. These felt pad spacers are critical for proper use. You wanna make sure that the cutting blade always has a felt pad spacer on it as it creates a layer of separation between the cutting blade and the grate. Otherwise, the blade will rub on the bottom side of the grate the cutting blade by reinstalling the three cutting weight screws. Be sure not to overtighten these screws. Once you have the motor assembly put together, we'll reinstall it in the drum, making sure that we align the junction box on the motor assembly with the two Xs on the inside of the drum. Also, be sure that the adjustment bracket is seated flush with the drum. Engage all four link lock latches. Loosen the drum knobs and rotate the drum upright. Next, we'll reinstall the drum gate by pressing in center where the screw head is and giving it a quick tap until it is seated in the U channels properly. We'll reinstall the lid by fastening the two back draw latches. Removing the two thumb screws for the control box and reinstalling the control box. Make sure the control box is seated flush with the lid plate and tighten up the thumb screws. Next, we'll rotate the lid 90 degrees upright. Go ahead and lubricate the rotor shaft and make sure that the DS shape in the rotor top plate aligns with the D shape on the motor shaft. And reinstall the cotter pin. Make sure that it's seated properly. Rotate the rotor and lid back down and reinstall the floor. Draw latches. Reconnect the jumper cable from the control box to the main motor. And now we're gonna go ahead and dial in the cutting blade. First you wanna inspect the distance between the grate and the cutting blade around the circumference of the drum. Make sure that it's even all the way around. Make any fine tune adjustments to get it even. And then we'll turn on the unit and start adjusting the adjustment knobs front to back. A couple turns in the front, a couple turns in the back, and what we're doing is raising up the cutting blade until it makes slight contact with the grate. Once it makes contact with the grate, we're gonna back down the knob a half turn to a full turn in that location where it was rubbing. You want to repeat this process Until you feel comfortable that the blade is as close to the grate as possible. Sometimes it's necessary to lower one drum knob in order to raise the other up. You also want to open and close the inner lids as that airflow change will affect the blade height. Make sure it's not rubbing with the lids opened or closed. And again, continue this process of raising up the cutting weight until it makes contact with the grate and then backing it back down front to back until we're sure that the blade is true and not cockeyed. Once you're done adjusting it, turn the unit off and give it a final inspection around the circumference of the grate. Inspect the blade distance between the grate. Make sure that it's a 60th to an eighth of an inch below the grate and and no more. The closer the blade is to the grate, the more stems and crow's feet and hooks you'll be able to get when trimming. Next, we'll install the filtration and collection bags starting with bag one. Be sure that the hem is on the outside so that trim and buildup doesn't occur. It's a lot easier to clean if they are inside out. Heat this process for all four bags. Fourth Bag has a Velcro strap that we will also fasten. We recommend that you stair step the filtration bags as seen here so that so that product doesn't spill from one bag into the other. When you're removing the bag, reinstall the chute by sliding it into its track. Open the CH gate and install the ch sock. You can also make fine tune adjustments to the blade height. 2. How dry should cannabis be before using the Satellite Bud Trimmer?
We are unable to accept returns on certain There isn't one moisture or relative-humidity number that determines whether every batch is ready to trim. Flower density, strain characteristics, drying conditions and moisture distribution can all affect trimming performance.
For dry trimming, EZ Trim recommends evaluating the physical condition of the flower, not relying on RH alone. Properly prepared flower should allow unwanted leaf material to release cleanly without requiring excessive trimming time or damaging the flower.
Unevenly dried flower should be allowed to equalize in dryness before trimming so smaller, drier buds and larger, wetter buds process more consistently.

3. How do I know when cannabis is ready for machine trimming?
EZ Trim uses a simple finger test and friction test to help determine whether dry flower is ready for machine trimming.
For the finger test, gently disturb the leaves around the flower. When the unwanted leaves are dry enough to snap rather than bend, the flower may be approaching the proper condition for trimming.
Next, gently rub two representative buds together. This friction simulates some of the action that occurs during machine trimming. If the unwanted leaf material releases readily, the batch is more likely to trim efficiently. If the leaves remain flexible and do not release, the flower may require additional drying or equalization before trimming.
4. Can machine-trimmed cannabis look like hand-trimmed flower?
Yes, when the flower is properly prepared and the machine is correctly adjusted, commercial machine trimming can produce flower with a hand-trimmed appearance.
Preparation is a major factor. Dryness consistency, stem preparation, strain characteristics, airflow, rotor speed and trimming time can all influence the finished product.
EZ Trim customers including King City Gardens, Dank, Super Farm and Uproot Organics have reported hand-trim-like results or directly compared Satellite-trimmed flower favorably with hand trimming.

5. How much hand touch-up should be needed after machine trimming?
The goal should not simply be to move flower through a trimming machine quickly. A more useful measure is how much labor is still required afterward.
EZ Trim uses touch-up percentage as an important indicator of trimming-process efficiency. As a general process target, properly prepared flower should require touch-up on approximately 30% or less of the product. If more than half of the flower requires significant hand touch-up or retrimming, it can indicate an opportunity to improve drying, equalization, preparation or machine settings.
For example, King City Gardens reports reducing flower requiring touch-up from approximately 80% to about 20% after incorporating EZ Trim into its process.
6. How does the Satellite handle different cannabis strains and flower densities?
Cannabis strains do not all trim the same way. Differences in flower density, structure, leaf characteristics and moisture can change how a batch responds to machine trimming.
The Satellite provides adjustable airflow, rotor speed and batch time, allowing operators to tune the trimming action to the flower rather than forcing every strain through the same process.

8. What happens to the trim and kief collected by the Satellite?
The Satellite uses a multi-stage filtration system designed to separate material generated during trimming rather than collecting everything together.
This can help separate larger leaf material, finer trim and increasingly fine material through the filtration stages. The recovered material can then be handled according to the operation's own processing requirements.
