The EZ Trim Bud Shaker Box is a fast, simple cannabis flower separation system designed primarily for the final-sort stage after trimming and touch-up and before packaging.

During trimming and quality control, small pieces of flower, popcorn buds, and shake can remain mixed with finished A and B buds. Manually picking through that material adds unnecessary handling and labor. The Bud Shaker Box uses a simple three-level nesting system to quickly separate those fractions by size.

Place finished flower into the top tray and gently shake the box side to side. Material passes through two different slot sizes:

½" Top Tray: Retains larger A and B buds.

3/16" Middle Tray: Collects popcorn and smaller buds that pass through the ½" openings.

Bottom Container: Collects shake and smaller material that passes through the 3/16" openings.

There are no motors, electronics, vibration systems, or powered moving parts. Separation is controlled entirely by the operator, making the Bud Shaker Box easy to use, clean, and incorporate into an existing post-harvest workflow.

Standard Bud Shaker Box

The Standard Bud Shaker Box is a compact option for individual workstations and smaller-volume processing. Its three food-grade polycarbonate containers nest together into a compact system measuring approximately 21" × 12" × 10".

With a single operator, the Standard model is rated to process approximately ½ pound per 30-second cycle.

The Bud Shaker Box XL provides substantially more capacity for higher-volume post-harvest operations.

The XL uses aluminum sorting trays with the same ½" and 3/16" separation sizes combined with a 27-gallon polypropylene collection tote. Its larger working area allows a single operator to process approximately 2 pounds per 30-second cycle.

Both models perform the same basic three-way separation. Choose the Standard when compact size and smaller batches are the priority, or the XL when greater batch capacity and throughput are needed.

Where It Fits in the Harvest Process

The Bud Shaker Box is particularly useful as the final sorting step immediately after touch-up.

After each trimmer finishes quality control, the finished flower can be placed into the Shaker Box for a quick final separation. A/B buds remain on top while popcorn and shake are separated into their own containers. Each fraction can then be directed to the appropriate packaging or next processing step.

How the Bud Shaker Box Works

The Bud Shaker Box uses three vertically nested levels to separate finished cannabis flower by size.

The ½-inch top tray holds larger A and B buds while allowing smaller material to fall through.

The 3/16-inch middle tray catches popcorn and smaller buds while allowing shake and finer material to continue into the bottom container.

The bottom container has no openings and collects the remaining shake and small material.

The process requires no electricity or powered mechanism. The operator creates the sorting action by gently moving the assembled Shaker Box from side to side.

Standard Model Assembly

Place the non-slotted collection container on the bottom.

Nest the 3/16-inch slotted tray inside the bottom container.

Place the ½-inch slotted tray on top.

Verify that all three levels are properly nested before adding flower.

XL Model Assembly

Place the 27-gallon collection tote in the working position.

Install the 3/16-inch aluminum sorting tray above the collection area.

Install the ½-inch aluminum sorting tray as the upper sorting level.

Make sure both trays are properly seated before loading flower.

Operating Instructions

1. Start with trimmed flower.

The Bud Shaker Box is designed primarily for final sorting after trimming and touch-up, when A/B buds may still be mixed with popcorn and shake.

2. Load the upper tray.

Place the flower evenly onto the ½-inch top tray. Avoid unnecessarily compressing or packing the flower together.

3. Shake side to side.

Using controlled lateral movements, gently shake the assembled box from side to side.

The goal is to allow the material to move across the openings so smaller pieces can fall naturally through the appropriate slots.

4. Inspect the separation.

Stop shaking once the desired separation has been achieved. Excessive shaking or unnecessary handling is not required.

5. Separate the three fractions.

After sorting:

Top ½" tray: A and B buds

Middle 3/16" tray: Popcorn/smaller buds

Bottom container: Shake and finer material

Remove each fraction and direct it to the appropriate packaging or next processing step.

6. Repeat as needed.

Reload the top tray and repeat the process for the remaining finished flower.

Cleaning

Remove all flower and loose plant material from each tray and collection container after use.

Allow all components to dry completely before reassembling or storing the Shaker Box.

But even now, look at what it, even if it has stem, like the shape of it, like you said, there's no damage to it. It might be here and there, but it's light. Even that, what would that be? That would just be someone with simple scissors just snip. Yep. Yep. And I, You know, what I like to do is just go through and pull all the ones that need hit out, like spread it on a big tray.
